Terms of service

These terms describe the self-help software service. They do not create a professional relationship or make the service an official filing agent.

Service

Solo 5500 Desk provides self-help software that helps users prepare draft filing packets, checklists, calculations, and annual passports from information they enter.

The service is available only for supported filing years, entity types, jurisdictions, and workflows shown in the product interface.

No professional relationship

Using Solo 5500 Desk does not create an attorney-client, CPA-client, EA-client, ERPA-client, fiduciary, TPA, registered-agent, appraisal, valuation, or government filing relationship.

We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, valuation, investment, plan-administration, fiduciary, appeal, or representation services.

If a question requires a legal, tax, fiduciary, valuation, appeal, or representation judgment, stop and consult a qualified professional.

User responsibility

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your answers.
  • You must review all outputs before signing, filing, paying, or relying on them.
  • You are responsible for filing through the official channel and paying any government fees, penalties, or interest.
  • You decide whether to consult a licensed professional before using an output.

Product-specific boundary

Solo 5500 Desk is for owner-only / one-participant Form 5500-EZ packet scenarios. It does not provide plan administration, fiduciary services, TPA services, trustee or custodian services, investment advice, correction programs, IRS representation, or custom plan design.

Fees and payment

$49 is the current software fee shown for this MVP unless the checkout displays a different price before payment.

Government fees, state fees, county fees, penalties, interest, and third-party remittances are separate unless expressly itemized before checkout.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another listed payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers or CVV codes.

No guarantees

  • No guarantee of acceptance, compliance, penalty avoidance, tax savings, assessment reduction, or audit outcome.
  • No guarantee that a draft is complete for facts outside the supported scope.
  • No authority for us to sign, file, submit, receive notices, or communicate with an agency on your behalf unless a future written service explicitly says so.

North Carolina and similar document-provider rules

The current MVP is designed as filing packet and workflow software, not custom legal document drafting. If a future feature generates legal documents for consumers in a jurisdiction with special website-provider rules, that feature must be separately reviewed before launch.

Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in the refund policy. Refund limits are shown before checkout when payment is enabled.

Governing law

Unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise, these terms are governed by French law. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.
